I took this shot last weekend, in the MOMA with Tg and Ty, looking up out the skylight, through a colorful installation exhibit by Olafur Eliasson. Lots of thinking about lenses recently. Ty showing me how to get a clear close-up. Reading things like: 'The purpose of a telescope is not to magnify, as commonly thought, but to collect light.' Feeling, while leaning back on the steps inside the MOMA, like I was inside a lens.
Kaleidescope, coined in the 1800s. Meaning: The observer of beautiful forms.
