Surfacing, after weeks of illness, confinement. Full of new remedies, B headed west today, then south, not lively, but steady. We found ourselves on quiet streets with large houses — one, my favorite, a Bernese sprawled in front of a low wooden gate — with grassy, ruffled yards. Everywhere, roses bowed, petals wet on the sidewalk. Farther south than I usually go I found bungalows that were weathered with soft mildew that coast houses have, the weathered grey look, porches I wanted to climb, windows I wanted to have in my view. For a minute the grey weather suited, and I wished that just beyond that house were the low Mendocino cliffs, the shore, the waves, the ledge where weather breathes in and out, the sun breaks.
Beautiful photo.

I have to credit Cass for taking away my inhibitions about posting flowers.
Never Over Flowers.

I remember it as Cass declaring that he was over flowers but me posting "Never Over Flowers."

So it is! That makes a whole lot of sense that YOU would discourage inhibitions. Which is good a thing. Sorry I had that backwards...
